February 5^th 2018 Swatch Tweed Stitch

Notes:  B2 = Knit 2 stitches, WYIB=with yarn in back, WYIF=with yarn in front, PW=Purl Wise, Sl=Slip 1.

Materials:

1 skein cotton yarn, #6 or #7 knitting needles.

Cast on:  multi 2 + 1 (14+4+1=19) cast on 19

Border:

Rows 1-2:     Knit across.

Pattern:

Row 1:           (RS) B2, P2, *WYIB Sl 1 (PW), WYIF P1; repeat from *, end with P1, B2.

Row 2:           B2, K1, *WYIF Sl 1 (PW), WYIB K1; repeat from *, end B2.

Repeat the above two rows until desired length, I repeated pattern 15 more times.

Border:

Rows 1-2:     Knit across.

Bind off, weave in ends.

Multiple of 2 + 1 (28+1=29 +8 Border = 37

Work 4 stitches on each side for border and work rows 1 and 2 to finish the cloth.
