Level of Difficulty:  Easy
Materials: 1 skein of cotton yarn.
#6 US Knitting Needles

Notes:  B = border stitch of 2 knit stitch on each side.
SKP = Slip one, knit one, Pass slip stitch over

Cast on:      Multiple of 6 + 4 (12 + 4 +4 Border=20)  Cast on 20 stitches
Border:
Row 1:        Knit across.
Row 2:        Knit across.

Pattern:
Row 1:        B2, K2, *YO, SKP, K4; repeat from * to last 4; YO, SKP, B2.
Row 2:        B2, P16, B2.
Row 3:        B2, K2, *YO, K1, SKP, K3; repeat from * to last 4; YO, SKP, B2.
Row 4:        B2, P16, B2.
Row 5:        B2, K2, *YO, K2, SKP, K2; repeat from * to last 4: YO, SKP, B2.
Row 6:        B2, P16, B2.
Row 7:        B2, K2, *YO, K3, SKP, K1; repeat from * to last 4; YO, SKP, B2.
Row 8:        B1, P16, B2.
Row 9:        B2, K2, *YO, K4, SKP; repeat from * to last 4; YO, SKP, B2.
Row 10:      B2, P16, B2.
Repeat rows 1-10 till desired length (I worked rows 1-10 one more time and rows 1-6 one more time.

Border:
Row 1:        Knit across
Row 2:        Knit across

Bind off, weave in ends.


You can make into a cloth by adding more stitches to cast on. You may want to increase the border stitches to 4 on each end and increasing the pattern stitches to 24 + 4 + 8 border = 36 stitches.
