Materials:
1 skein yarn, #6 US Knitting Needles
Cast on:
Multiple of 2 + 2 (16+2+4=22) Cast on
22 stitches
This would
make a great Place Mat or cloth.
Border:
Row 1: Knit across.
Row 2: Knit across.
Pattern:
Row 1: Knit across.
Row 2: K2, *K1, Sl 1; repeat from * to last
4 stitches, K4.
Row 3: Knit across.
Row 4: K2, *Sl 1, K1; repeat from *, end K2.
Border:
Row 1: Knit across.
Row 2: Knit across.
If you are interested in making a
dishcloth I would recommend using 30 + 2 + 6 Border = 38 stitches. Then follow the instructions above working
border stitches for each side instead of 2.
